
Leila Pourkhani
b. 1976
Leila Pourkhani studied graphic design at a technical and vocational art school. She began her artistic career in 1996, working in the field of miniature painting. She later studied various forms of Islamic art, including Persian painting, book illumination, and the restoration of manuscripts. Her professional background also includes the honor of collaborating with the esteemed master Aydin Aghdashloo in the fields of book arts and miniature painting.
In 2005, she began working professionally in Islamic arts and later in manuscript restoration. By participating in several group exhibitions and festivals related to traditional arts, she received numerous awards.
Since 2011, alongside her work in manuscript restoration and collecting, she has explored and worked in painting, participating in both domestic and international group exhibitions.
In 2015, she held her first solo painting exhibition, entitled “Ancient Chronicles,” at Atighi Gallery. She has continued her artistic activities in the field of painting ever since
