Mohammadreza Alipour
b. 2000
Mohammadreza Alipour (b. August 13, 2000, Bojnourd) is an artist whose work explores Persian miniature painting in relation to contemporary life and his own lived experience.
He received traditional training in miniature painting from childhood and later graduated from an art high school in graphic design. He then enrolled in a graphic design program at a public university in Mashhad, leaving after one year due to dissatisfaction with the educational environment. Following his departure, he pursued an in-depth study of Persian miniature painting and the principles underlying its formation.
Growing up in a traditional family within a modern society led him to move beyond traditional approaches to painting and seek closer connections between miniature painting, contemporary society, and his personal experience. His interest in modern philosophy and East Asian art, which began during his art high school years, played a significant role in this shift.
Since 2021, he has consistently worked on the creation, study, and restoration of artworks, with a focus on miniature painting.
