b. 1994
Nikta Roknoldini (b. August 31, 1994) is an Iranian-born visual artist based in California. She holds a BFA in Textile Design from Tehran University of Art and a BFA in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.
Drawing on her training in textiles, fashion, and painting, Roknoldini creates dreamlike, theatrical scenes populated by human figures with animal heads.
Working primarily in acrylic and collage on canvas, she builds densely patterned surfaces where memory, fantasy, and everyday life coexist. Her ongoing series, La Ménagerie Fantastique, explores vulnerability, identity, and the ways people present themselves in social spaces.
