Bijan Ghaseminejad

Bijan Ghaseminejad is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores the intersections of individual identity, collective memory, and cultural elements within a contemporary context. His practice is guided by ideas rather than bound to a single medium; each project shapes its own form—whether through sculpture, painting, stitching, carpet-making, drawing, or digital media.

With a background in calligraphy and traditional carpet design, his works often involve reinterpreting and reconstructing Iranian cultural motifs within conceptual frameworks. The use of domestic materials such as carpets or thread, interwoven with personal and historical imagery, defines his visual language—one that oscillates between deconstruction and reconstruction, critique and aesthetics. At the core of his practice lies a persistent inquiry into the role of tradition within contemporary life, a question that remains inseparable from the body of his work.
