
Mahmoud Saleh Mohammadi
b. 1978
Mahmoud Saleh Mohammadi is an Iranian interdisciplinary artist born in Tehran in 1979. He studied painting at the Art University in Tehran and later graduated in Fine Arts from the Brera Academy in Milan in 2017. Based between Milan and Antwerp, his practice includes painting, installation, sculpture, performance, and participatory art.
His work combines Persian visual traditions, particularly the colors and patterns of ancient carpets, with contemporary artistic approaches. Through both studio-based and socially engaged projects, he explores cultural identity, migration, community, and social relations. He is also the founder of the nomadic cultural association Spazio Nour.
